By Sarah Lewis – Delta Mu Delta Business Honor Society elected new officers for the 2017-2018 school year. Four individuals have been elected to serve the following roles:
President – Lisa Erhart, Senior Business Administration major
As President, Lisa’s role is provide leadership to the other officers, assist with scheduling, and assure that each graduating officer finds a suitable junior to serve in their position during the next school year.
Vice President – Nichole Marquis, Senior Business Administration major
Nichole’s role as Vice President primarily consists of serving as chair of any chapter activities, such as the induction ceremony.
Treasurer – Grace Webber, Senior Accounting major
Grace is the steward of the finances in her role as Treasurer. She keeps track of the incoming memberships and payments. She also completes the chapter’s Financial Statement before leaving the campus in spring.
Secretary – Erin Allen
As secretary, Erin keeps track of the chapter’s records, creates and retains minutes of meetings, handles chapter correspondence, and completes the Annual Report for the chapter before leaving the campus in spring.
Delta Mu Delta is an honor society for business-related majors. These students must be juniors or seniors, have a minimum 3.25 GPA, and be in the top 20% of business majors.
The students, as well as faculty advisor Beth Hazels, are looking forward to the upcoming year. “I am excited to be returning as the faculty advisor for Delta Mu Delta. We are hoping to expand our participation and develop a bigger presence on campus,” Professor Hazels said.
