Internship Leads To Full Time Position For Accounting Grad Jeff Nickel

By Hannah Nicolay – Recently graduated senior Jeff Nickel earned Bachelors of Science degrees in Accounting and Economics and has accepted a position at EY (formerly Ernst & Young) beginning in the fall of 2017. During the first half of the spring semester Jeff worked as an accounting intern at EY St. Louis, while still completing work for his classes at William Jewell.

This summer Jeff will take summer classes and study for the CPA exams. The courses he is taking this summer will complete the 150 hours of college credit required prior to taking the CPA exam. Jeff stresses the importance of internships saying, “Internships allow you to put everything you have learned into real world application which is so important for people to have before entering the workplace after graduation.”
