By Emily Scott – The winners of the spring semester’s BUS 406 Business Plan Competition is the team of Morgan Cimpl, Trey Flick, Connor O’Neill, Derek Peterson, and Elaina Reynolds with their company Expedition Unknown, a travel planning company that connects millenials seeking unique cultural experiences with in-country “ambassadors.” As in the past, the panel of judges included Bill Ellwood of Wells Fargo, David Raden of The Capitus Group and Professor Liz Hoyt.
The Business Plan Competition is a component of the business capstone course, Business Problems and Policies. The course is a fundamental part of the holistic business program giving students the experiences leading to confidence in creating plans in the fields that they work in post-graduation.
Six teams competed in the semester-long competition which culminated in final submission of their business plans and twenty-minute oral presentations to the judges.
