By Jennifer Ghekas – During the fall meeting of Alpha Lambda Chapter of Delta Mu Delta, members elected officers for the coming year. Josh Sawers will serve as president, Bryan Rezin as vice president, Aerial Smith as secretary, and Kevin Kolibas as treasurer. Sawers was also a regional award recipient of Delta Mu Delta this year. Accounting professor, Dr. Jean Hawkins, serves as faculty advisor to the Alpha Lambda Chapter.
Delta Mu Delta recognizes academic excellence among business administration, accounting, and economics majors. To become a member of Delta Mu Delta students must be in the top 20% of their class, have completed at least half of their course work, and have a GPA of 3.25 or higher. The honor society serves two main purposes: “to promote higher scholarship in business education,” and “to recognize scholastic achievement of business students.”
Delta Mu Delta will be holding its biennial meeting on November 6-8, 2015 at the Marriott Country Club Plaza in Kansas City, Missouri.
