In the last newsletter I briefly talked about the idea of creative discontent — the concept we embrace at Jewell that fosters an environment in which students become discontent with inefficient, ineffective systems and then develop their inherent creativity to solve those problems rather than complain about them.
Just recently we graduated a group of students who are ready to go out and create change in positive ways, be that in a new business, changing the existing ways things are done, finding solutions to problems or improving organizational culture. We are excited about the class of 2013 and what they will do to make change that positively impacts others. In this edition you will read about recent events that will help us continue this vision and evidence of how current students are tackling problems they encounter in the business world. It is a great time to be a business student at Jewell.
