From coast to coast, the study and advancement of economic freedom continues at state-based organizations. Liberty@Work™ is a web-based professional education and training program for individuals interested in advancing economic freedom. In collaboration with state-based non-profit organizations from all across the country, participants have the chance to undergo management training for four hours every Wednesday and further expand their skills and network while working in full-time positions. Additionally, participants travel to Washington, DC for the first week of the program and meet in-person for two other professional education summits.
Through Market-Based Management® workshops, instructors, group projects, and reading discussions, the professional and management capabilities of each individual will be developed. In addition to the online education and training, participants gain access to a network of more than 800 professionals and dozens of non-profit partner organizations.
The next Liberty@Work program will run from July 29, 2013 to May 9, 2014. The application for admission is currently open, and the deadline to apply is May 1, 2013. Contact Rodney Vessels with any questions.
Participants in Liberty@Work™ typically work in a full-time job at a non-profit organization and take part in hands-on professional education and training. The focus of the curriculum will be on Market-Based Management® (MBM®), a framework for understanding how an organization grows and prospers in the long-term. For four hours every Wednesday, participants virtually join others from across the country to engage in group projects, reading discussions, workshops, and more. All these components combine to help participants gain the skills and knowledge to be more effective advocates of economic freedom both in their current roles, and throughout their careers.
Participants and instructors will interact via a state-of-the-art online educational platform. This technology is an advanced web conferencing tool that facilitates the online learning experience. This 21st century classroom will allow participants to easily share documents, converse with peers, and interact with instructors via video and audio communications.
The first week of the program takes place in Washington, DC, and gives participants the chance to meet each other and engage in in-depth professional education and networking. Throughout the year, participants will travel for two other professional education summits.
