Professor Jean Hawkins (accounting) was granted the Doctor of Business Administration degree from Anderson University Falls School of Business in April 2011. Professor Hawkins also holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (accounting major) from the University of Central Missouri and a Master of Arts in Business. She is a Certified Public Accountant as well as a Certified Managerial Accountant and has served on the William Jewell faculty for thirty-five years.
Dr. Kelli Schutte, chair of The Department of Business and Leadership, was invited to participate in the U.S. Department of Labor’s National Dialogue on Workplace Flexibility at the Kauffman Foundation Center on March 24. She served as an expert panelist on Workplace Culture.
The Marketing Management Association (MMA) has selected Debbie Scarfino, associate professor of business and leadership, as one of its top 10 professors for the 2011 Hormel Meritorious Teaching Award. Each year the MMA invites professors to submit examples of their successful teaching techniques to a judging panel and compete for top honors and Professor Scarfino’s submission was selected as one of the top ten.
